For most patients administration of a theranostic is relatively very well tolerated.
During administration of the therapy a a lead shielded syringe containing the liquid radioactive theranostic is brought into the patient room.
The theranostic is slowly injected into the patients arm and into the bloodstream. Administration is typically a couple of hours and patients may have further treatments usually at 4-6 week intervals.
